Although the Nexave is not a very expensive reel, it doesn't mean it's not very efficient. If you are a beginner in fishing, or if you want a second reel without breaking the bank, you will be thrilled with the Nexave. No matter what model you choose, from the super small size 1000 to the powerful size 5000, you will appreciate the smoothness that Shimano reels provides. It's a quality feel that is not often found at such a low price, which is why Nexave is one of the best-selling low-priced reels on the market. The G-Free body of the Nexave is exactly the same design as that used on much higher priced Shimano reels. This design places the internal mechanics higher up in the body, bringing the center of gravity closer to the rod. This results in better balance and less fatigue when using the reel for extended periods. The 3 shielded stainless steel ball bearings (plus an additional bearing) ensure smooth reel operation, even under pressure, and the drag is easily adjustable and can comfortably handle large fish. The Nexave is also equipped with an AR-C spool that allows you to fish with nylons and braids. The specially designed and inclined spool lip allows the line to leave the spool more freely with less friction, allowing for longer and more precise casting.
