What is an Electronic Training Collar:
The electronic training collar is a help in the education of your dog. It is indeed a tool aimed at assisting and accompanying you in training your dog. The functioning principle of an electronic training collar is simple. Most electronic collars work on the same principle:

1- the dog is warned by one or more beep sounds for its bad behavior
2- if the dog persists in its non-desired and/or disturbing behavior, it then receives a correction.

The correction, depending on the models of electronic collars, can occur in different ways:
- by a spray (lemongrass for example)
- by vibrations
- by ultrasound
- by electrostatic stimulations*

* Collars emitting corrections by electrostatic stimulations do not emit real "electric shocks" as such, but electrostatic stimulations. Harmless for the dog and also painless for him, the sensations felt by the animal are indeed more annoying than painful, which will incite him to stop his bad behaviors.

Usage Tips:
A dog can learn basic commands as soon as it reaches the age of 8 weeks. Before considering the use of an electronic training collar, we strongly advise you to educate your companion in a "natural" way (praises, petting, rewards, positive reinforcement etc.). With a little work and by spending time with your dog, you should be able to teach him the basic commands, without which life with your companion will be difficult (sit, lie down, walk on a leash, recall etc.).

The education of your dog should start as early as possible, and you need to regularly "maintain" its education in order to reinforce acquired commands. An electronic training collar is only a tool to reinforce commands and correct defects and undesirable behaviors.

An electronic collar should not be used on a dog less than 6 months old. Excessive use of electronic training collars can lead to the opposite effect of desired, and cause behavioral problems.
We strongly advise you to read the instructions indicated on the collar's notices. An electronic collar is indeed a very effective tool, but it is essential to use it properly.

Use of the training collar in hunting:
The training collar is widely used for hunting dogs. The dog is often far from its master and all its attention is focused on the game. Therefore, it is quite common for the animal not to respond to commands. The training collar, if the commands are understood by the dog, is often the solution.

It is frequently used in the following cases:
• Dog recall
• Prevent the dog from hunting too far
• Refusal of certain Game (avoid deer for example)
• Safety: to make a quick and effective correction in case of danger to the animal (roads…)
