The SLX DC is one of the flagship models of the extremely popular SLX series. Known for its great value for money and ease of use, this SLX DC model benefits from the Shimano I-DC4 Digital Control launch system, which automatically optimises launch performance over a wide range of lines, conditions, and casting techniques. The SLX DC is compact, supple, and provides unparalleled value. The SHIMANO DC system allows you to cast effortlessly and is now accessible to a wide audience worldwide. The SLX DC retains all the qualities of the original models and improves them thanks to Shimano's I-DC4 digital control system. This brilliant technology can be set to one of 4 modes to maximise your casting performance, while reducing birds' nests and other issues. Available in two sizes, the 150/151 sizes offer great versatility, while the smaller 70/71 size is perfect for casting lighter lures. The I-DC4 digital control, a Shimano exclusive, integrates perfectly into the compact body of the SLX DC. The modes are as follows: Mode 1 is designed for maximum distance (less magnetic braking). Mode 2 is specifically designed for braided line fishing. Mode 3 is for fluorocarbon fishing. Mode 4 offers maximum control (the most magnetic braking) for applications like skipping. Once set, the on-board microcomputer, which generates its own electricity, does all the work, leaving you to aim and cast. Like all SLX models, the HAGANE aluminum frame creates a perfect body for precision gearing and the S3D aluminum spool reduces vibrations during casting and retrieval. The SLX DC is hard to beat when looking for a hassle-free digital launch reel.
